1. About These Terms
These Stationery, Shipping & Returns Terms govern the purchase of personalised wedding stationery through Arch.
Arch is operated by Arch Wedding Ltd, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC906671 (“Arch”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
These terms apply alongside our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
They explain your responsibilities when approving personalised designs, how orders are produced and delivered, and your rights concerning cancellations, refunds and faulty goods.
Please read these terms carefully before purchasing stationery. In particular, personalised stationery is generally excluded from the statutory 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
2. Our Stationery Products
Arch provides made-to-order wedding stationery, including invitations, save-the-date cards, orders of service, place setting cards, table numbers, thank-you cards, welcome signs and seating charts.
All stationery products currently available for purchase are personalised or manufactured to customer specifications.
Depending on the product, personalisation may include:
- Names and wedding dates.
- Ceremony times and venue details.
- Guest names and household information.
- Table assignments and seating arrangements.
- Personalised wording and messages.
- Photographs.
- Design selections, colourways and layouts.
- QR codes or links associated with your wedding.
Some information may be automatically populated from your Arch wedding workspace.
You remain responsible for checking that all information appearing in your stationery design is accurate before approving it.
Arch does not currently sell non-personalised stationery products or downloadable printable stationery files.
3. Your Responsibility to Check and Approve Designs
You must carefully review and approve your stationery before adding it to your order.
Arch provides a design preview so that you can inspect the personalised content and appearance of your stationery.
Before approving a design, you are responsible for checking all relevant details, including:
- Spelling, grammar, punctuation and capitalisation.
- Your names and the names of guests.
- Wedding dates, ceremony times and other timings.
- Venue names, addresses and locations.
- RSVP information, website details and relevant links.
- Table names, numbers and seating information.
- Meal selections or other guest-specific information appearing on the design.
- Personalised messages, wording and signatures.
- Photographs, image cropping and visible image quality.
- The overall design, layout and placement of text.
For double-sided products, you should check both sides.
For products containing multiple individually personalised pieces, you should review each piece.
You should not assume that information automatically imported from your wedding workspace is correct.
Your approval
Before stationery can be added to your basket, you must affirmatively confirm that the displayed details are correct.
By giving that confirmation, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review the relevant design and approve the personalised information it contains.
Your approval is recorded electronically and associated with the relevant design details.
If underlying wedding information changes before checkout in a way that invalidates your approval, Arch requires the affected item to be reviewed and approved again.
Once your order has been placed, later changes to your wedding workspace do not automatically update the artwork submitted for printing.
Customer-approved errors
Where a product has been manufactured accurately in accordance with the personalised design and information you approved, Arch will not ordinarily provide a free replacement or refund solely because you subsequently discover an error in that approved information.
Examples include:
- A misspelled name that appeared in the approved design.
- An incorrect wedding date or ceremony time that you approved.
- Incorrect venue wording or guest details supplied by you.
- An unwanted wording choice or punctuation mark visible in the approved design.
- A photograph supplied by you that was already visibly blurry or poorly cropped in the approved preview.
Correcting these customer-approved errors may require a new order at additional cost.
This provision does not apply where the goods are faulty, do not match the approved design, are not as described or otherwise fail to meet your statutory consumer rights.
4. Personalised Goods and the 14-Day Cancellation Exclusion
Under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the standard statutory 14-day cancellation right does not apply to contracts for goods made to a consumer's specifications or clearly personalised.
All stationery products currently sold by Arch are manufactured to the customer's individual specifications.
Accordingly, you do not have the standard 14-day right to cancel a stationery order simply because you change your mind.
This means that, after placing and paying for your order, you cannot ordinarily obtain a refund solely because:
- You no longer want the stationery.
- You change your wedding theme or colour preferences.
- You decide to use a different supplier.
- You ordered more stationery than required.
- You approved incorrect personalised information.
- Your wedding plans change after ordering.
This exclusion applies because of the personalised nature of the goods, not merely because printing has already begun.
It does not remove your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.
If Arch introduces non-personalised products in the future, different cancellation rights may apply to those products.
5. Orders, Payment and Contract Formation
You can review and amend items in your basket before completing payment.
Product prices, applicable delivery charges and the total payable amount are presented during the ordering process.
Payments are processed through Stripe.
Your order is subject to successful payment processing and acceptance by Arch.
We will confirm your order through the application and, where applicable, by email.
If an order cannot be fulfilled after payment has been taken, we will contact you and provide an appropriate remedy, including a refund where required.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where necessary because of technical errors, unavailable products, unlawful content or other legitimate fulfilment issues. If payment has already been taken and we cannot fulfil the order, we will refund the affected amount.
6. Production and Printing
Arch uses Prodigi, a third-party print-on-demand fulfilment provider, to manufacture and dispatch stationery orders.
Once payment is confirmed, Arch ordinarily begins preparing the approved artwork and submitting the order for production without a customer-controlled waiting period.
Production times depend on the product and fulfilment arrangements.
Production and delivery estimates are provided for planning purposes and are not guaranteed dates unless we expressly agree otherwise.
Because production may begin promptly after payment, amendments or cancellations cannot be guaranteed.
Arch remains responsible to you for fulfilling its contractual obligations, including where a third-party printing provider performs production or delivery activities on our behalf.
7. Changes After Ordering
Once payment has been completed, customers cannot edit or cancel stationery orders through the application.
If you discover an error or need to request a change, contact support@archwedding.com as soon as possible.
We may be able to investigate whether an amendment or cancellation is still operationally possible, but we cannot guarantee that a submitted print order can be stopped or changed.
Where a requested amendment relates to customer-approved information and requires new printing, additional charges may apply.
We will explain any applicable charges before arranging a replacement order.
Nothing in this section limits your statutory remedies where Arch has supplied goods that do not conform to the contract.
8. Print Colours, Appearance and Photographs
Arch aims to reproduce approved stationery designs accurately.
However, reasonable differences may occur between a digital screen preview and a physical printed product.
These may arise from differences in:
- Screen brightness, calibration and colour settings.
- Digital and physical colour reproduction.
- Paper stock, printing processes and finishes.
- Normal manufacturing tolerances.
Minor differences in colour or appearance that fall within reasonable manufacturing tolerances do not necessarily constitute a defect.
However, significant discrepancies, incorrect printing or products that do not meet their description may give rise to statutory remedies.
Customer photographs
Where a product allows photographs, you are responsible for selecting images that are appropriate for printing.
Images that are blurred, pixelated, poorly lit or otherwise unsuitable may produce disappointing results.
Arch cannot guarantee that printing will improve the quality of an unsuitable source image.
Where poor results arise solely from the inherent quality of a customer-supplied photograph, accurately reproduced from the approved artwork, this will not ordinarily entitle the customer to a free replacement.
This does not exclude responsibility for faults introduced during Arch's processing, printing or fulfilment.
9. Delivery Addresses and Customer Information
You must provide a complete and accurate delivery address.
You are responsible for checking:
- Recipient name.
- Street address and building information.
- Town or city.
- Postcode or postal code.
- Country.
- Any other information required for successful delivery.
Arch does not guarantee independent verification of customer-entered delivery addresses.
If an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by you causes a failed delivery, return or additional delivery charge, you may be responsible for reasonable additional costs attributable to that error.
We will not charge you for delivery errors caused by Arch or its fulfilment partners.
10. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping costs and estimated delivery windows are calculated during checkout based on the items ordered and the destination.
Some products may be manufactured at different production facilities.
As a result, an order containing multiple products may arrive in separate parcels and on different dates.
Where tracking is available, it may be provided through your order details and dispatch communications.
Estimated delivery dates
Delivery dates are estimates unless a specific delivery date has been expressly agreed.
We will take reasonable steps to deliver within the agreed timeframe.
Where no delivery period has been agreed, applicable statutory delivery requirements continue to apply.
If delivery is materially delayed, you may have rights to request delivery within an appropriate additional period or to end the contract and obtain a refund in circumstances provided by law.
We do not exclude those rights by describing delivery dates as estimates.
Risk during delivery
Arch remains responsible for the goods until they come into your physical possession, or that of a person you identify to receive them, subject to applicable legal rules.
If an order is lost or damaged before delivery, please contact us so that we can investigate and arrange an appropriate remedy.
11. International Orders, Customs and Import Charges
Arch may offer delivery to destinations outside the United Kingdom.
Availability, delivery charges and estimated times depend on the destination and fulfilment arrangements.
For international deliveries, customs duties, import taxes or local clearance charges may apply.
Where these charges are not collected by Arch during checkout, they may be payable by the recipient, subject to the information provided before purchase and applicable law.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the goods may lawfully be imported into their destination country.
International delivery may be affected by customs procedures or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Your mandatory consumer rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
12. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
Your statutory rights are not affected by the personalised nature of your stationery.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied to consumers must meet applicable requirements, including being of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where relevant, and as described.
If your stationery is faulty or does not conform to the contract, you may be entitled to a statutory remedy.
Examples may include:
- Significant printing defects.
- Incorrect cutting or manufacturing.
- Missing or incorrectly supplied items.
- Damage during delivery.
- Printing that materially differs from the approved artwork.
- Other defects that mean the goods do not meet applicable statutory requirements.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, remedies may include a refund, replacement, repair or price reduction.
The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature of the issue and your statutory rights.
Reporting a problem
Please contact support@archwedding.com as soon as reasonably possible after discovering a problem.
To help us investigate, please provide:
- Your order reference.
- A description of the issue.
- Photographs showing the problem, where reasonably available.
- Details of the affected products.
We may compare the delivered goods against the approved design and recorded order information.
We may also work with Prodigi or the relevant delivery provider to investigate the issue.
We will not impose an arbitrary reporting deadline that removes your statutory consumer rights.
You are not required to resolve printing or delivery defects directly with Prodigi.
13. Refunds and Replacements
Refunds and replacements are assessed according to the reason for the request and applicable consumer law.
Change of mind
Because the stationery is personalised, a change of mind does not ordinarily entitle you to cancel the order or receive a refund under the standard 14-day cancellation provisions.
Customer-approved mistakes
Where the printed product accurately reproduces the information and design you approved, Arch will not ordinarily provide a free reprint or refund solely to correct a customer-approved mistake.
A corrected order may be available at an additional charge.
Manufacturing or fulfilment errors
Where Arch supplies goods that are faulty, damaged or not as described, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law.
Failed fulfilment
If Arch is unable to supply the goods you have purchased, we will arrange an appropriate refund or other remedy in accordance with your legal rights.
Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned to the original payment method where practicable.
Refund processing times may depend on the payment provider and your financial institution.
14. Intellectual Property and Customer-Provided Content
Arch's stationery templates, layouts, illustrations, typography arrangements and other original design elements remain the intellectual property of Arch or its licensors.
Purchasing stationery does not transfer ownership of those underlying designs.
You retain any intellectual property rights you hold in photographs and other content that you provide.
By submitting content for stationery production, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or permissions for its intended use.
You grant Arch and its fulfilment providers a limited licence to use, process, reproduce and transmit that content as reasonably necessary to prepare, manufacture, deliver and support your order.
You must not submit content that unlawfully infringes another person's rights.
15. Personal Information and Fulfilment Partners
To fulfil stationery orders, Arch may share relevant information with its printing, payment and delivery service providers.
This may include:
- Your name and delivery details.
- Order and product information.
- Personalised artwork and wording.
- Photographs included in approved designs.
- Information required for production, delivery and customer support.
Some stationery designs may contain personal information about wedding guests.
You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide for personalisation is appropriate and accurate.
Arch processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
16. Our Responsibility and Liability
Arch is responsible for supplying stationery in accordance with the contract and applicable consumer law.
However, where a product has been manufactured accurately in accordance with the customer's approved personalised design, Arch is not ordinarily responsible for correcting mistakes that were present in the information or artwork the customer approved.
This includes customer-approved spelling errors, incorrect names or dates, unsuitable wording, and poor-quality customer-supplied images, provided the goods otherwise conform to the contract.
We are not responsible for losses caused solely by inaccurate information supplied or approved by the customer, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
We do not exclude or restrict liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Breach of statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
Any limitations of liability in Arch's general Terms of Service apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not override the protections in this section.
17. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
Production and delivery may occasionally be affected by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, carrier disruption, customs delays, industrial action or significant technical outages.
We will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and communicate material delays where appropriate.
Nothing in this section removes any statutory right to a remedy where goods are not delivered or do not conform to the contract.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in our stationery products, fulfilment arrangements or legal requirements.
The version applicable to an order will generally be the version in effect when the order was placed, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
The current version will be published on Arch's website.
19. Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These terms are governed by Scots law.
If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction, you retain any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under applicable law.
Nothing in these terms prevents you from exercising rights to bring proceedings in a court where applicable consumer law permits.
